Yeah. Pretty ironic that Toews and Kane both had a really great chance to end their Hawks career with OT goals and both missed.

He hasn't said it, but I'm pretty sure Toews won't play again. I don't think anybody really wants him. He wouldn't want to play for league minimum as a 4th line guy anyway. That's probably what he would be now. Right?

too many crosschecks to the back of the head and neck. fearless in the corners due to usually having more finesse wingers than grit wingers and in front of the net. all that took a very heavy toll.

was a very special player. can't take that away from him. when he reached his peak the debate was toews vs crosby. from that moment, never put it in 5th gear.

We all know he declined dramatically over the past few years, likely due to injuries, but nobody can deny that he was one of the best two way centre icemen in the world for the better part of a decade.

As for Hossa...don't think Toews has his picture on a postage stamp, so he may actually be more of a legend in Slovakia than Toews is in Canada.
