It’s not really the Hawks draft fuckery, fans of pretty much every other team in the NHL think the Hawks should have received an actual punishment for the Kyle Beach stuff, like say, losing a draft pick.

Just saw a sampling of Twitter-ites, saying that Bedard should pull a Lindros and refuse to play for Chicago. Not sure how likely that is to happen.

Is this the kid that was too good to play with kids his own age so they moved him up into leagues he didn't qualify for because he was too young?

From what I understand, he is one of 8 people in the history of Canada to be deemed "exceptional". I assume Ryan Reynolds and Justin Bieber are also among that list.

I stopped watching the Hawks and the NHL the second the Hawks traded Panarin. Dipped my toes back in to the NHL this year and have been all in on the playoffs. Still haven't watched a Hawks game since 2015.

Been saying all year that if the Hawks get Bedard I am back on the wagon. Well, I'm back!


Anyone want to offer me tickets here are my long standing requirements:
-they better be free
-they better be luxury box and not the one all the way on top
-I would settle for club level in a pinch

watching Bedard clips on youtube, dude moves around the ice like the stick and puck are natural extensions of his person, crazy, effortlessly smooth

the highlites i've seen would have me agree with those who say he's the next steve yzerman. nearly as good skating, better hands, passing..but hard to believe, with a better shot. if anything, his highlites tell us that his line-mate suzdalev (Caps property, drafted last year) is a can't miss. watched him hammer home a half dozen one-timers off bedard feeds.

hawks have 2 out of the first 20 picks and 6 out of the first 56. will they wheel and deal with the other picks or load up?

It's not a deep draft. They could try to package to move up, but who'd bite?

From the highlights I have watched he definitely has Kane like moments. I have also read Crosby comps.
