reichel (-2 again today, 3 games in a row at -2) is as soft as 3 second old baby poo. so bad that the staff doesn't want him messing up bedard and kurashev. removed from #1 line by the 3rd period. i think it's a good thing. let him play his soft style against other 3rd/4th liners. on pace for a 16 point season and a -56. so soft on the puck, nick leddy feels like a tough guy.

these guys were throwing flowers at soderblum. i must have been watching a different game. blues 4 shots/2 goals within 5 mins. then again, the rookies have been making more and more mistakes, taking penalties..oh, and connor murphy also plays in front of him.

Way too early in the rebuild to invest too much time in the Blackhawks. Watch a little here and there, boxscore, occasional video highlights.

not a Bedard, but the guy expected to go #1 (Celebrini/Boston U) is supposed to be an offensive dynamo. Would look nice next to Bedard.

the blues' jake neighbours scored 2 goals yesterday, should have had a hat-trick - missed a wide open net from 8 feet out. anyways, neighbours was taken 26th overall in 2020, 9 spots after reichel.

neighbours has 7 goals this season, reichel has 1. neighbours has 6 goals 5x5, reichel has zero goals 5x5. each is listed at 6 feet tall, neighbours weighs 30 lbs. more. i'll give reichel more time, but time is running out and maybe the hawks themselves, have recalibrated what reichel is and can be. clearly, disappointing so far.

connor murphy thinks that's doug wilson to his right, helping him out on the PP kill. katchouk could have done a bit better. puck on right point, could have changed hands to have his stick defend that passing lane.

to be fair to murphy, korchinski had a rotten game. as the season has progressed, korchinski is taking more chances entering the attacking zone with the puck at speed. also, pinching in. seemed to be a strength early in the year - was much more conservative. got to get smarter and pick his spots better. only 19, work in progress.
