Not completely worthless, but getting close. He's going to plummet down the depth chart when Sharp and Hossa return.

And yeah, 60 stitches for Stalberg. Morin came up because they didn't think he'd play.

Morin is a known top prospect, Hayes is a nobody. Once Hayes gets sent down again I'm willing to go out on a limb and say we'll never see him in a Hawks uniform again barring a shit ton of injuries. I'm excited to see what Morin can do.

Hayes looked okay last year, on pace to be about a 25-point guy. Decent garbage-goal guy. His ceiling is probably Bryan Bickell. I wouldn't shut the door on him for good, though. He could stick around as a 4th line/13th forward guy.

So much for Carcillo being hurt. I believe he was just on the ice.

Hes had a couple shifts since the "injury".
They should just call it a "bad" with him.

Carcillo has an upper body bad. He also has a lower body bad.

They are good at hockey when they play the Ducks which hopefully stays true for the playoffs.

Detroit is probably going to make it 2 straight games without a penalty.

Even the Hawks penalties were nothing really.

Yes they are. They just had a nice run of games. They're not what they were, but they'll limp along to 5th-8th this year.

No they weren't. They were shaky, had that home game winning streak, and then went out quietly in the first round.

Couldn't get that shutout, huh.

I meant points wise they were right there. What the hell is it with the Hawks in the last minute of a period?

One way to look at it. I do get sick of hearing all Sid all the time here but he is very good.

He's the best hockey player in the world so of course you're going to hear about him all the time.

I don't ever feel like horrific injuries are "good" news.

And, of course, I had to miss this one, as I am waiting at the SeaTac airport for my flight back...closest I could get is the Michigan/Florida game :(

Losing some teeth and breaking a jaw is hardly a horrific injury. He gets to spend the next month drinking a lot of milkshakes and Kaner gets to sneak in and win the MVP. Classic win win.

I heard that. It doesn't make it correct. It is a cliche, and a terribly inaccurate one.

Dear Hall of Fame announcer,

Some nerd who's never played the game sitting in his mom's basement with an abacus says you're wrong.

Or he couldve you know, actually outplayed Crosby and win it legitimately. Bad thought by you here shakes.
EDIT: Not to drudge up our old pissing contest and Kane is having a great year , but you could make a case for Toews being just as valuable as Kane is right now.

That wasn't going to happen. Crosby was on pace statistically for one of the greatest seasons in league history.

Toews isn't even in the same conversation as Kane this season, despite playing with linemates 10x better. Kane has been the best player on the team and its not even close.
