Finish the job the Tsarnevs started.

No it's not. A rolling puck goes down for icing, Kings win a faceoff with one of the best faceoff specialists in the game, execute their play and get a perfect deflection off of a leg. It's hockey dude. Shit happens.

oh no.... just... NOOOOOOOOOOO.... (DO NOT WANT) </darthvader>

i hadn't even thought about that shit.... the whole #bostonstrong crap because it's all a giant psychological operation, you know, now that everyone from boston can tout this #bostonstrong crap when, in reality, they were shown to be anything but (in a philosophical sense) cuz a few days after that bombing i'll be damned if the whole city/suburb wasn't locked the fuck down and made humble in a camel clutch by the DHS hometown army.... so start spouting off that #bostonstrong crap in the wake of everyone being exposed as the peons that they are.... and i reckon people will start believing in it.

so now the blackhawks don't just have to face the city of boston, they gotta face every asshat IN boston and then the media cuz you know jim gray is starting to look in the mirror and come up with profound shit to say about how the city is healed and saved because of the bruins and etc etc.... goddamn this is a nightmare scenario. dan, a bit sensationalist: granted, is on to something here.

the hawks have to tidy up shit like that because what you described <bernstein> CAN. NOT. HAPPEN. WHEN. YOU'RE. PLAYING. FOR. A. STANLEY. CUP. </bernstein> i mean, sure, you make it sound like a bunch of non-sequiturs came together in a game of mad libs and the sentence just happened to be damning, but like.... man, the mere fact that shit went down like it did got me worried. that's all.

i'm on your side of this, cuz even tho i aint really a hawks fan and a good % of the plastic chelsea dagger nation annoys me to no end, even more annoying was the red wings fan friend of mine, who like, was so fucking hosed tonight he was talking about the badass make believe violence he'd love to inflict on blackhawks fans and like, yeah, he doesnt get it when i got him to hang up on me by calling up and bumping chelsea dagger @ him..... you can't go around chicago shitting on everyone on the bandwagon when your team gets up 3-1 on them and play this faux-humility card like you're above it all, and then expect everyone to respect your bullshit when you do the typical red wings fan crutch thing and go back to the bread-n-butter issue of "fuck [other team/city/fans] cuz they're all bullshit fake ass hockey fans and you know it"

so yeah, even tho i saw an unlucky # heading into the playoffs and i assumed the hawks were done for.... maybe i'm wrong? it'd be nice to be wrong cuz my friend honestly deserves to see the cup paraded down his street and all that, but still.... i'm worried. especially when the jim gray esque scriptwriters would LOVE a #bostonstrong cup to help heal the town after it was made humble in the DHS' camel clutch.

We're in trouble. Boston has solid goaltending, great size and speed as well. Not a big deal, Hawks can contend with all of that and have at different stages of the playoffs. But, the X factor is going to be Chara and the 30:00 of ice time he'll get each game. Remember how much trouble the Hawks had with Suter back in round 1? Well factor that x10 and you have Chara. The key to his playoff success is how the rules have changed in the playoffs and now players are alllowed to obstruct, hook, slash and grab players. At 6'8 and now with the lax officiating Chara is almost impossible to beat. I think that's going to be the difference in this series.

Found Boston lines here http://www2.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/lines/15/

First line: lucic/krejci/Horton
Second line: Marchand/Bergeron/jagr
Third line: Peverly/Kelly/Seguin
Fourth line: Paille/Campbell/Thornton

Chara/Boychuk
Ference/Seidenberg
Krug/McQuaid

Rask in goal.

Big first line as both wings are 220+. Same with their first defensive pairing. Chara is 7 feet tall on skates and an absolute shutdown defenseman. Scary how they shutdown Crosby and Malkin.

Hawks should be the favorites on paper but I expect most experts to pick the Bruins because like omg they beat the Penguins.

If you want to beat Boston in a best of 7 then you're going to need speed. Something the Rangers don't really have at all and the Penguins only have with a few players. The Hawks have speed top to bottom with their forwards and dmen. You know who had good team speed? The Leafs. And it took a monumental collapse in Game 7 for the Bruins to get by them. The Bruins have the #3 ranked defense, something that can be worrisome considering Detroit was #5 and they gave us fits. I think the Hawks fell into mind games with the Wings though and the Wings also got away with more clutch and grab and interference than any other team in the game. Goaltender wise, Rask had a great series vs the Penguins but he's still not as good as Quick and arguably over-achieved in that series. Boston also likes to play a physical game like the Kings, something the Hawks will be ready for. A problem the Penguins had in the Boston series is that they tried to outhit the Bruins. That's not their game and they were chasing hits all over the ice. They were too worried about it and it got them off of their game. That's something the Hawks won't even consider doing. The Hawks finish their checks, they don't chase the hit. It's a battle they're not interested in winning. Special teams wise, both PK's are good, both PP's are horrible. If Boston beats us, it's going to be because of Chara. He's the best dman in the game, in my opinion. He can out muscle anyone he wants and his long reach takes away passing lanes that are there against any other dman. He also eats up crazy minutes without ever looking fatigued. The guy is a giant and a hell of a player.

So...both PP's suck. In a 5 v 5 game the Hawks speed should give the Bruins alot of problems. The Hawks breakout is infinitely times better than the Penguin's so they can get out the zone and move it up the ice in a way Boston hasn't seen all season. The Bruins have some decent team speed but they can't skate with the Hawks from top to bottom. The Leafs had speed, the Penguins had skill, the Hawks have both. In the end, the Hawks are the better team yet again and should win on paper. I expect defensive battles and close games with the Hawks lifting another Cup in 6 games.

One more thing. The Bruins average about 33-34 shots a game against them in the playoffs while the Hawks are easily #1 with only 27 shots a game against. Over the course of a series, once again, advantage Hawks.

Next game I want to see a line 2 of Stalberg-Shaw-Kane. Its fucking disgrace that Q keeps saddling his best offensive player with pieces of shit game in game out.

And next time I see Kruger take a key defensive zone faceoff when Toews is fresh I'm gonna throw my remote through the tv.

The best part of the game I forgot to mention was the 1st intermission. I was driving through Batavia and 2 guys in Kane jersey's were riding together on a Vespa to what had to be Jewel on a wine run. I think they were too young to be Scorehead but you never know.

Only took him 3 seasons and impending UFA status to wake up and start playing the kind of physical game he should've been playing from day 1. Nice to see...finally.

Hawks will be fine -vs- Boston. Kane & Toews have found their games. I doubt that Rask will continue with a .987 save %. Speed will beat size again & the Hawks win in 6.

Holy crap what a game. Im as tough on Kane as anyone but he came to play tonight, dont know where that has been last 2 series but Im glad he showed up tonight. I dont know how the fuck you let the Kings win that faceoff clean in the last 15 seconds of reg but goddamn they came back from that. Just happy they made the finals after a great year. I think Boston wins it in 6 but if they play like they did in the first 10 minutes of the game, no one can stay with them. Never been prouder than to be a gay as I am right now. :drunken: :drunken: :drunken: :drunken:

Just watched the highlights again. Fuck a hat trick. Took the game in his hands and set up by the captain and nailed it. Say whatever you want Kaner is clutch.

Campbell is out which is nice since that 4th line was a nasty bitch in the playoffs. There is a lot of peenus on the Bruins roster. Marchand and Lucic will quickly become Hawks' fans hated targets. And for as many blowjobs being given to the Boston defense the Hawks still have a better collection.

My guy Leddy has a great game & the Hawks win game 4 3-2, with goals from Leddy, Kane & Sharp.

This has to be a bit now.

No one can be this wrong ALL the time.
I actually agree with the bolded part, that's exactly how Kane has played this series.

Just about every Hockey analyst has been talking about how poorly Kane has played & to a lesser degree Toews.
It was nice to see Kaner get his head out of his ass midway through the 2nd period tonight & he played the best period of Hockey that he has played in this series in the 3rd.
Toews was good as well. He plays hard all the time.
What can you say about Bickell? I hope the Hawks can re-sign him.
The Hammer was a Man tonight & really stepped up as the #1 Defenseman with Keith out.
I don't know what happened to the Kings in the 3rd period but they looked like garbage. Fatigue perhaps?
I love seeing Cro outplay Quick, which has happened in 3 of the 4 games.
This series is over Saturday night.
