Who wears the A depends on who's in the lineup, or they're rotating for the hell of it.

Pre-season everything is so bad. Listen to how quiet that crowd is. You'd think it was a post-season game!

The rule is you get three lettered players, and that can be a captain and two alternates or three alternates. When Toews is out, they give a third alternate to another tenured guy: usually Seabrook or Hossa. John Madden got it once, I remember. I guess they figured why not Kane.

I won't let myself watch because I'm afraid of reflexively slipping into profane, anxious, pacing Hockey Mode, and I can't do that to myself if I want to make it through the year!

I heard Teravainen had a good game but they're sending him back tomorrow. Weird that they made the decision to loan him but then let him stay for a couple of games.
