GOALIE CONTROVERSY

59 minutes of quality hockey from the Hawks. I still have serious reservations about what Khabibulin can do for us and I'm reasonably confident that we'll see Raanta this year, at the latest when Khabi does his annual "yeah I'm hurt or something sure we'll go with that" thing and goes on vacation in February so no one can trade him and inconvenience him.

I loved that Toews goal. Good to see Nordstrom get a goal but I'm still of the belief that he could profit from AHL time and a few extra pounds.

Long Island has a good thing going. I smiled at the bit where Foley talked about how Tavares is basically a hockey junkie and doesn't really have any hobbies or passions outside of hockey. It's diametrically opposed to the football/basketball players Bernstein romanticizes, who don't actually like their sport and only play it out of physical obligation. No one is a hockey player by birth. But yeah, lots of promising players up front for them. It's just a matter of shoring up on the blue line/goal.
