No CH threads this weekend, time for me to fuck this all up.

So the Hawks are in Dallas to face the Stars tonight. Let me know what you guys think of their new jerseys. They kind of upset me because I felt like they ditched one of the best color schemes in the NHL (dark green, gold, black) and now they look kind of bland to me. The issue was their NBA style jerseys, not their color scheme. Now they look like trees or something, i don't know.

The Stars are average at best (8-6-2). They got Tyler Seguin in a trade this off-season who's a good, young player. He's had more photos snapped of him while drunk than Kane ever has. Speaking of Kane and drunks, The Kane stuff has always been over blown. There's a whole thread on HFboards dedicated to drunken NHL players having their pics taken in public.

You want stats? Go to NHL.com then, fatty.

Game starts at 7 and is on WGN which means the broadcast will suck but poor people can watch.

I am reading the pregame link from nhl.com and it has Brookbank as a forward on the 3rd line?? Seriously??

I'll turn the game on after I get done with Don Cherry telling me about why the Maple Leafs won't win with all their damn Europeans, or some nonsense about Canada being the greatest country in the world.

Gotta love Coach's Corner...it's like the insane ramblings of your drunken, senile uncle, without the concern that you will do that one day.

I swear to god if I wasn't sober right now, I'd be convinced that Dallas raided the Hartford Whalers clearance sale to get those sweaters.

Glad it's not only me that dislikes their jerseys.

Lehtonen usually has his best games of the year vs the Hawks. Need to generate more offense than this.

And then they tie it

That was pretty sweet, easy tap in for Hossa.

Is it me or does hammer get injured every single game?

Seems like it. He's a shot blocking machine.

Hawks looked like they woke up after they tied it. Probably just needed a jolt.

Hawks getting outworked. Stars have been the better team except during the last four minutes of the first period.

And it's followed up with questionable confusion on a delay of game call...
another penalty.
Golly.

3-2 after 2. The Big 3 with goals tonight.

Stars impressing me with their team speed, I didn't recall them ever being this fast. Gives a team like the Hawks a lot of problems sometimes because they like to be aggressive.

Is it my tv or does it seem like the arena isn't very brightly lit?
