I thought he looked good by the second. Toews is a better Bryan Little and Hossa is a worse Blake Wheeler, so he'll adapt very quickly.

Do you think he's going to matter?

Yes, he'll make the nominal first line much better while busting Shaw down to the fourth line, making that line much better.

No Steeger. He is going to join the really big and strapping behemoth Kings.

OHHHH EDZO LOOK AT HIS SIZE!

Daniel Winnik to the Crapitals for Brooks Laich. Don't see this as much more than addition by subtraction; Daniel Winnik is just a guy and Brooks Laich sucks.

Dallas gets shitty Kris Russell for Jyrki Jokipakka and other stuff. Avs get Boedker and Gelinas, Ducks get Pirri.

Hawks get another AHL goalie, Drew McIntyre, from Carolina/Charlotte. Now I am suspicious about Darling going somewhere.

Good day for the Hawks so far. Dallas only got Russell who isn't any good. Ducks got Pirri for a 6th round which makes Bowman look pretty good for getting a 2nd and 5th for him. (or was it 3rd and 5th?). Boedker going to Colorado where he won't do any real harm to anyone.

As long as Hamhuis stays out of the west (unless its to us) this day will be perfect.

I can't believe Pirri produced as much as he did in BrowCou and still saw his stock plummet. Guy must just be an insufferable prick or something. For a while now, the Panthers have been like "yeah, we really don't want you here."

Bruins get John-Michael Liles, who would have been a safe enough third-pairing defenseman, so they tell me. No word on Hamhuis yet, nor have I seen any big moves from the Islanders, which surprises me.

The word on Pirri is that he could get you PP goals and that was pretty much his entire worth. The guy won the Cy Young last year with 22 goals and 2 assists, 7 of those goals on PP. So only 15 even strength goals all season despite top 6 minutes. This year more assists but only 11 goals despite playing more games already than last year.

Also doesn't battle in corners, can't cycle. Basically a goal scorer who needs to be in the top 6 despite not having top 6 talent.

I'm not sure a physical team like the Ducks will be good for him. If all he can do is score on power plays and not cycle, he needs to be on some candy-ass team like the Hurricanes.

Looks like no movement for Eriksson, Hamhuis, Yakupov, or Hamonic. The Isles did get Shane Prince from Ottawa, whatthefuckever.
