Gonna be suspended a while for this one.

https://twitter.com/myregularface/statu ... 08/photo/1

Intentionally smacked Coyle in the face, blood everywhere, Keith is a repeat offender so we're probably looking at five games at least.

1-1 on Hossa's 499th

Yeah, it was a slewfoot, but the league won't care. The slewfoot didn't make anyone's nose explode on TV.

Plus he has a history of suspensions (even though I don't think the Sedin hit was as bad as it looked).

Hawks doing what they do best, losing by three or more goals to contending teams.

Three wins in their last ten, all three against teams whose seasons practically ended weeks/months ago, scoring differential of -8. What a great big pile of shit this team turned out to be. Utterly incompetent against anyone who's good.

Probably out for the first round. Fucking idiot, maybe he deserved to have his wife leave him.

Gonna be Anaheim or Los Angeles coming out of the West this year.

Definite possibility of starting the playoffs with no Keith, no Crawford, and an ice-cold Toews and Kane. That's okay, the Blues r so bad that we can coast by on Tomas Fleischmann alone! ch ur dumb!

Take it easy, champ ... after how many months, nay years, of you saying this team is going to do nothing and being wrong a lot you might finally get your wish to be the boy that cried 'wolf' and the wolf finally showed up to slaughter everyone. Well whooptie-doo ... I'm 'curious' what exactly one gets out of being 'that' guy.

Why does it matter if he is back for the playoffs when the window was closed shut in the first round last season?

I want the Hawks to win every year. I get frustrated when they play as poorly as they do, and make no mistake, no one lets the bottom drop out more than the Hawks. It makes following this team very not fun.

If following a team who has won 3 cups and 2 other Conference finals in the last 7 seasons is not fun, you will never have fun unless you are UCONN women's basketball fan.

Then apparently the best way to be a Hawks fan is not to watch for half the year, because they will give you nothing. I guess next year I'll pay for Gamecenter again and just watch the rest of the league give a shit from Christmas to Easter.

Honestly, if Quebec City gets another team, I'll probably get in on the ground floor of that and pretty much be done with the Hawks the way I'm done with the Bears.

First, I think Keith should get 6 or 7 games. 5 a given, couple more in the playoffs to reflect severity of the offense.

However no more than that for this reason. While it was not an actual slewfoot, the check he received without the puck by the Wild player's stick knocked Keith to the ice ackwardly in the same manner. The way Keith fell to the ice could have caused a severe injury. IMHO.

Again, not defending what Keith did. The Wild player got away with one!

League doesn't look at it that way. Was just reading some of the suspensions, guys like Chris Simon got 25 games, even though it was retaliatory.

I'm thinking 5 games and maybe 1 playoff game tacked on for good measure.

Five and the whole first round seems likely, and if that's the case, there's no second round to come back for.

there's no way he gets that many games. Playoff games count as double in terms of suspension so that means you think he is going to essentially get somewhere between a 13-20 game suspension? Not a chance. There was no serious injury, it was a retaliation rather than predatory. I don't even think he's technically a repeat offender per the league's definition (but I could be wrong about this). Wideman just got 20 games reduced to 10 for ending a ref's season.

5 or maybe 5 +1 sounds about right.

He's not a repeat offender in terms of salary forfeiture going from games missed to days missed, but the league can take priors into account, and he has the suspensions from the Sedin and Carter hits against him. He already got five for the hit on Sedin, and this was much worse. That would mean 10-15 games feels right, and with the Blackhawks on pace for a first-round sweep (this team CANNOT beat playoff teams), there's 5+(4x2), or 13, right in the range.
