I made the first half of the Glenbard North game this past weekend - GBN played hard and ran the ball well against Palatine and won. They get Stevenson this weekend in Carol Stream. Going to be an interesting game.

Glenbard North plays in what might be the best & toughest conference in the state. They are better than there 6-3 record indicates.

Dammit. Kaneland runs into 1 of these 2 schools every time they make it to the semi's. They would have to play out of their minds for 4 quarters to win.

Marian beat Montini 21-20 this year. It should be a fantastic game.

Yea, this is one of those classic matchups, like when St. Rita plays Brother Rice.

LT (Lyons Township) was a joke when I played there and hardly ever made the playoffs. What happened? Our best year when I was there was 6-3 and that was before they expanded the playoffs so we didn't even get in. You could pencil us in for getting pounded by Glenbard West and Downer's North every year

So who ended up winning? Kaneland hung on the beat Rochelle so one of these 2 will be coming to Maple Park to most likely win next Saturday.

St. Rita vs. WWS this weekend with Rita being the home team. DVC is going to get trounced.

Glenbard North is up 28-0 in the 3rd quarter. They will face Loyola next week if they hold on.

Montini is kicking Marian C right now in the nads - 52-27 with 6 minutes left.

Kaneland beat Rochelle 20-14 and gets Montini next week.

Batavia trounced Lake Villa 42-0 & will play Prairie Ridge in Batavia next Saturday.

WWS started 1-3 & looked pretty bad, but now have won 8 in a row after beating East St. Louis 10-7.

Good to see Kaneland undefeated still.

The next couple of weeks are going to be great.

Joliet Catholic vs. Montini final in 5A. Montini's offense is ridiculous....I can't see anyone beating them from here on out.

No shit. I've had enough of Westerkamp's and Borsellino's. There has been one every year for the past 5. Go Away!!!

That kid is crazy. He's so big compared to the other players.

JCA I think gets em - they are always so damn good playing against 7 and 8A teams and get a break with their lower enrollment when it comes to state playoffs.

Don't be so soon to count out the only public school left in 5A. When Kaneland gets its spread offense working they can put up points in a hurry. They put up 31 on Morris in a half and if they can somehow get in that kind of groove they can compete with Montini. There is no way in hell they would beat Montini and JCA 2 weeks in a row though. There probably aren't too many 6,7 and 8A teams that could do that.

Lights out on the season for Batavia. They could not overcome Prarie Ridge in a 33-22 loss.

Kaneland is at least hanging with Montini this year as they go to halftime......going to need a big 2nd half though. So much for that. Maybe they can recruit some D-1 prospects to move into the area so they can match up with this damn team for once.

Bolingbrook and Loyola is a better game. I hate Montini.

Well UMN,
We both lost. Most of the #1 seeds lost this weekend. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to putting the x-mas tree up Friday while watching the State championship games. Its always a great weekend.

Batavia is down 1

Kaneland is headed to Gately field sp? for a matchup with Brooks from the public league tomorrow at 4. Weird.
