It’s beautiful ain’t it? The latest stat I saw is that about 3% of Chicagoland homes identify the Illini as their top college team. It hits double digits if you poll south of I-80. |

Stats are from the College Research Bureau. It went ND, Michigan, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Michigan State, then Illinois. Again, this is only for Cook County and its collar counties. In practice it matches up with my lifelong experience in Chicagoland. |
