Defense wins championships.

That Gordon Tech coaching tree is still going strong.

Warren won the Proviso West tournament. Not sure the tournament has the cachet of years past but always nice to go home with a trophy.

That freshman is a stud. Already offered by the Illini.

Just how good is the Defunct Gordon Tech? Will anyone ever score 40 against them? Big game Saturday against H-F.

An embarrassing beating against the Vincentians last night. I met with Phoenix Gill in Tully Hall after the game to take his confession and assigned him an Act of Contrition and seven Hail Marys as penance for terrible shot selection.

The Resurrectionsists are nearly defunct, sir. The Vincentians stole their last remaining high school.

Someone got to hang out with his social betters this weekend. It's almost cruel to show you something you can't have.

Yes, the Treasurer of the Union League Club was there!

I however will console myself with the Catholic League championship.

So which CPS team turned them in? My money is on Whitney Young.

Me too. Slaughter's talent pool has been bare since Irvin has taken over Kenwood. He consistently beats him for players now.

Like when they got Curie forfeited out of City title for grades not being checked. Then it comes out weeks later no one was checking.

This is where I would give Regular Reader a hard time. When you poach Simeon athletes, bad things happen. Enjoy!

Oak Lawn gave them a roster and their scorebook before the game. Kenwood wrote the wrong numbers down and Oak Lawn got a technical with 1:30 remaining down 4 for it. Last year at Kenwood their best player fouled out in OT, Irvin said no he didn't and wouldn't take him out. Refs let him finish the game and they won.

I got a buddy who has a kid that plays at Rice.

I'm in if there is a rematch down the line.

Seacrest and JORR, I may have some threats for you tomorrow. Depends on what happens tonight. The Caravan are going for state title # 3 this year.

DeKalb ended up giving them a better game than I would have thought.

I'm not sure DePaul can beat them again. Ciaravino is the best player I've seen all year.

Well, Rice didn't make it past Thornton.

Sucks. Thornton might be the team to beat.

MC lost their other star, Marks, but it would be a great game...I think they would play in the championship if they both win out?
