Just curious what other schools do. I saw NIU's at Soldier Field (since it was their home game) and wasn't impressed. Was just basic a highlight film. Iowa's is pretty good. Starts out with the mascot coming out, then suddenly Back in Black starts blaring and you see the team in the tunnel coming to the field, play some cheesy video of the Hawkeye semi coming to the field and when they focus on the top of the truck (Here come the Hawkeyes), the team comes out in the Swarm. Oh yeah, and no empty seats or fans sitting on their duffs ;-)

Here's a link to it if you are curious: http://iowa.scout.com/a.z?s=8&p=2&c=677751

I'll be able to give a better report on Purdue as I'm leaving in a few hours to watch them dismantle the Chippewas. Purdue does a little too much artificial noise for my liking but they used to come out to "When Worlds Collide" and it was pretty cool. They used to have a bad ass cannon but the faculty complained that it was too "militaristic". From what I have heard, the cannon is back this year in jumbotron form.

The worst thing I ever saw was last year. We had 3 defensive players that had last name starting with B and the decided for the last game to call them the killer B's and play this buzzing sound whenever they made a tackle. Everyone in the stadium was laughing at it and I think it quickly disappeared.

We send out a hallowed and revered figure to the middle of the field and make him disappear.

Don't be so hard on your offense.

I'm sure we do something, but since everyone is busy in the tailgates with their Perrier and brie cheese...

And by the way, the "Hey hey, it's ok... you're gonna work for us someday" doesn't count does it? That joke was almost funny until I ended up working for a guy from dOSU.

I propose getting the Nerve Session do our halftime show. Doug? Douuuugg!?!?
