Illinois -3 @ Indiana... Give the points and pick the Illini. Dr. Ken... I'm a believer! JUST GIVE THE DAMN BALL TO MENDENHAL... that should be the Illini new fight song.

MSU - 12.5 @ ND... ND has shown me absolutely nothing. Give the points and pick the Spartans. State has some great players and I think Dantonio is a really good coach.

NU @ OSU -22.5... I love my Cats, but Larinaitus is going to have a field day. Give the points and pick dOSU. At home in Columbutucky? Ouch.

PSU - 3 @ UM - Give the points and pick State. Michigan is on a resurgence, but I think Joe Pa has it in him to win. I also want Hart to STFU

Iowa @ Wisconsin -7.5... Take Iowa and the points. Iowa is a good team. Wisconsin is a good team. I think this game will be close. I don't buy the PJ Hill is God argument. I think Wisco will win, but it'll be close.

Purdue -13.5 @ Minnesota. Give the points and take Purdue. Boilers got too much on offense and will overwhelm a truly crappy Gopher defense. Pinnix will get some yards against Purdue D, but Tiller will outcoach Brewster on Saturday.

I like Iowa and the points considering how many points Wisconsin gave up to The Citadel. I also like PSU over UM especially if Henne is out again. MSU can be giving 25 points and I'd still pick them. Any team that can't score on UM's defense is not going to score over 10 on any other. The others could go either way so I'll stay away at this point.

I'd say ILL, PSU, Purdue, and MSU all look like stealing money to me.

The others could go either way I think.

I'm wierd. Love Indiana in that game. Illinois will give up a ton of O to a real offense. I don't think they can score enough to keep up.

Missouri was a real offense that I think is better than Indiana's. The D only gave up about 23 points to them. The rest came on 2 returns and a fumbled kickoff.

Maybe they'll make the same mistakes but I doubt it. Illinois' offense is suspect but their defense is for real and has been for about a year and a half.

Turnovers are their achilles' heal. I may be biased however. Now, excuse me, I've got Ron Guenther on the phone.

In the uh oh file, Indiana has forced 10 TOs in 3 games.

I wouldn't touch the IU-UofI game with real money. It could be a blowout in either direction and I wouldn't be surprised. IU looked really good at time against weak competition but also looked bad. The game they had against Western Michigan should have been a loss. They got out to a big lead but I believe the turnover margin was 6 for WMU and 1 for IU. They weren't even forced turnovers but the WMU QB's doing a Rex Grossman impersonation.

I don't know if Illinois has the defense to control James Hardy. If he has a big day, then the Hoosiers win.

If I had to make a play, I would choose the Illini.
Illinois - 3

Purdue will roll in the next game. Minnesota would have to score at least 31 points to come close to the 13.5. Purdue has an amazing offense against clearly inferior defenses. We'll see how they do against the big boys.
Purdue - 13.5

MSU is going to get the job done. MSU is going to be the surprise team this year(if they aren't already). Caulcrick was killing a better ND defense last year when John L. Smith went insane and blew it by not using him anymore.
MSU -12.5

Penn State isn't that good this year. I am not a believer. Michigan is better than they played and Mike Hart will have a very good day. Assuming Hart stays healthy Michigan is still in the Big Ten title hunt.
UM + 3

The Iowa/Wisconsin game is another one that I wouldn't want to play. Wisconsin hasn't looked good but I think they get it done. I can't really start doubting Wisconsin until they lose a game. The game will probably be decided by 7-10 points.
Wisconsin +7.5

NU is bad. The growing pains continue and OSU finds a way to take a big lead early. OSU lets the foot off of the gas and NU covers. It's still an easy win for OSU but with the style that OSU plays I rarely like them as a 4 score favorite
NU + 22.5

Most of those were to Western Michigan and were basically handed to them on a silver platter. IU's defense is not good at all.

Hawkeye Vince... I put money down on Iowa. I hope they can pull it out in Camp Randall. I don't feel good about it, but then again, I bet with my heart.

Now why would you do something as silly as that? I know Iowa used to have Wisky's number, but I just don't see it. I actually am thinking 20-10 or so. Iowa would need to force Donovan to look like an option QB and bottle up Hill. They could do one, but not both.
