Ball State @ Indiana -6.5 --- Go to your first frickin' bowl since 1993. Give the points and pick Indiana.

Iowa @ Northwestern -1
--- Do I have to pick this? No confidence. Banged up Iowa against a spread offense. I'll give the points and pick NU.

Purdue @ Penn State -7 --- Painter keeps it close. Jaycen Taylor gets some good mileage. Take the points and pick the Boilers.

Michigan -4.5 @ Michigan State --- C'mon. Sparty's 2nd half downward spiral is as predictable as the tides. Give the points and pick the Wolverines.

Wisconsin @ Ohio State -15.5 --- Tressle covers in unexciting, but solid performance. It has a risk of a trap game, but I think JT does a great job at getting the team excited for every game. Give the points, pick dOSU.

Illinois @ Minnesota -12 --- Light em up Illini. Give the points and take Illini

Ball State +6.5: Indiana has dropped off the last few weeks and Ball State is playing good ball
NU -1: I just don't like Iowa on the road. Until they prove they can play in a hostile environment, they will not win.
Penn State -7: Happy valley is a tough place to play.
Michigan -4.5: MSU looking ahead last week? After seeing the melt in Kinnick, I think the Wolverines will roll.
tOSU -15.5: Wisky is playing like Purdue.
Minny +12: Minny is starting to look a bit better of late. Take the points at home in the dome,

That actually made me laugh... hostile environment? Evanston? Kinnick East? I wonder what the odds are on whether you see more Yellow and Black than Purple on Saturday.

Hostile meaning, not waking up in Cedar Rapids the day of the game and coming down to Kinnick....Hell, look at their one 'road win', it was NIU who might be the one of the ten worst teams in college football and that was with 40K Iowa fans in attendance.

The Minnesota game worries me. I don't think they'll lose, but I do think they may be a little bit flat, much like in the Ball State game. BTW, how pissed was every Illini bettor after last Saturday with that final drive?

One of my favorite Purdue memories is being in the student section for the IU game the last game of the year where we absolutely dominated the "Flying Dinardos" and were up 42-10 with 3 gone in the third quarter and chanted "Ball State's better! Ball State's better!" who Purdue had beaten early in the year but had given us a better game. Looking back I feel kind of bad because it was obvious that this was a beaten team and probably the last game that Gerry Dinardo would coach ever.

Look out for Ball State with the outright win this weekend. Ball State is a better team than they are given credit for.

And Ball State will be playing for their fallen brother who went under the knife this week.

I've been averaging four wins a week... maybe I should start putting the $$$ down for real.
