Been working on this ladies basement which has tons of crap from early 1970's.

Grabbed a couple of comics, as I assume they are not worth anything being water damaged.

Didn't read much of the comic (Maybe the modern day ones are really cool? Loho?) but the ads and classifieds cracked me up!

The X ray glasses, the muscle ads and then I see the three line EARN YOUR GED IN 4 WEEKS! Send $5 to 3600 W Peterson.

I am just thinking that is where North got his GED from the back of the comic book.

One other thing I noticed is most of the classified ads for the "MAKE MONEY AT HOME' or "FREE STUFF" all had addresses on the N Side of the City. 6111 N Clark, Peterson, Devon, etc.

There were always ads in the back of comics to sell Grit and make huge piles of cash. It was some sort of weekly newspaper or magazine.

Yes,there were a couple in my nape of the neck. One was in River Forest across the street from the old Mercury theater in Elmwood Park. The other on Cumberland not far from the John Gacy house in Norridge.

Isn't getting a GED just a matter of passing a test? I don't think you even have to take classes. Bryce Harper passed it at 16. Doogie Howser did it at age 2.

Don't forget the Sea Monkeys they used to sell in comic books.
