From the online score updates it sounds like the Kaneland/Morris tilt was a hell of a battle. The Knights got the go ahead td with what looks to have been 27 seconds left in the game. Will Montini end their perfect season for the 3rd year in a row or will they stick in 6A...far far away from Montini, Doug's Hurricanes and JC? I think the brackets come out Sunday night.

The IHSA brackets were announced tonight on a live 2 hour show on CSN. Great show, but Susanna Collins is just a little too excited...& she sounds like Kustok, which isn't good.
Both Batavia & Kaneland are #1 seeds.

You're right A7X...it has never happened before and it is pretty cool to have two 9-0 teams in the same city...hard to believe that two years ago...Marquette was 0-9. I really believe that if Marquette didn't get out of the Big Rivers Conference that the school would've had to have dropped football.

Thankfully they were able to get into a conference with schools more their size.

Marian was perfect for the 2nd year in a row...
Kaneland just nipped them for the #1 seed in 5A upper bracket, after being ranked #2 in 6A.

It's funny Doug...The Woodstock Marian Hurricanes ended the season of my high school, Ottawa Marquette, My freshman and junior years, (1983 and '85) the 'Canes beat the 'Cru 33-0 in '83 and 14-0 in '85...The crazy thing is that this was in the 2A bracket...Now Marian plays in the 5A bracket which is similar to the public school in Ottawa, Ottawa Township H.S.
