Season kicks off tonight. Chris Hanson can suck a dick if he doesn't like this thread.

Big game for Batavia tonight. Geneva has Oswego who kicked their ass last year.

The big game (for me) is of course Kaneland vs Brooks. I think Kaneland wants to make a statement after being scared shitless last year playing at Gately?sp? and putting together once of their worst games of the year. The only worse game was the last one where Lincoln Way West absolutely dismantled them in the 2nd round.

Looks like the storm is fucking life up tonight. A lot of games being bumped to tomorrow. I think Kaneland is officially postponed. Does Brooks even have enough money to get a bus 2 days in a row?

We got pushed to tomorrow. As for CPS teams, if you do not give return game the suburban team usually gives them between 500-1000 dollars and pays for the bus. We had one bad city team who wanted 1300 dollars and a bus for them to come play us. We passed on that and played a home and home with another team. Saving on the payout and bus of course .

They played the return game last year. This is the 3rd year I think they have played. I am just wondering what they do since they got a bus last night and made the trip and now have to do it again today. They are having scheduling issues with 2 and a future 3 non conference games. No one will play them out of conference because a smaller team is going to get their asses kicked and a bigger team can't gain anything out of playing them. Maybe since Don Beebe is an alum they can work out a game with Aurora Christian which would be a beast of a battle.

That game should be good enough to broadcast.

Channel 17 on Comcast. Also, all the Batavia games are streamed on BATV.

Batavia handed GN its only loss last year in Carol Stream in game 1.
GN star RB Justin Jackson is ranked #6 in the state & has committed to Northwestern.

What the hell is going on with the Batavia/GBN game? I am hearing personal fouls are being thrown left and right.

Nah...just a couple. Batavia just went up 22-12 with 4 minutes left in the 3rd. Bulldogs look good.

Just saw that. Its pretty easy to follow the scores in the age of twitter. Kaneland is up 23-7 at the half. Saw Geneva just lost the lead to Oswego.

Marist is up 13-7 on Rita in second quarter. Game has over 7,600 people watching online.

As long as there are 15,200 hands on the keyboard that is awesome.

"Lincoln-Way" is the weirdest high school name in the area behind "Thornton Fractional."

The original Lincoln-Way (now LW Central) was built on Lincoln High Way (Route 30). Thornton Fractional (now TF North) was built in Thornton Township.

I am now done playing shark for the day.

I knew it was in Thornton, but what's the Fractional? I've never seen that in a school name.

Not 100% sure but Thornton High School was already in existence when Thornton Fractional (TFN) was built. Everyone just calls the schools TF North and TF South now in that district.

I suppose I ought to nominate Lake Geneva-Genoa City Union District High School, d/b/a Badger High School, home of the Badgers. Bring on the Badger Badgers.

I went to St. Pats v Mt. Carmel at Soldier Field. The game was supposed to start at 10. I left at 12:15 as they began to take the tarp off the field. Even Chris Hansen wouldn't have waited around that long to catch grown men watching high school boys.

We waited through a three hour delay Friday night than a other 90 minute delay on Saturday. Absolutely miserable.

Its week 2 already.

Looks like Batavia has its hands full with Richards in their 2nd straight beast non conference game in a row.

Kaneland looked to have a very tough opponent in Immaculate Conception but they are up 31-7 at the half.

Geneva was losing last I looked at the half.

Kaneland sounds like a theme park that I would never, ever go to.

Patrick Kane Land. I would much rather my diploma read that. There could be some sweet statues of Kaner. There is nothing meaningful with the name...it is just based off Kane County.
