Admittedly, I'm not a huge college pigskin fan but have always liked the NU Wildcats and Coach Pat Fitzgerald.

Way too many close games resulting in losses last year. Let's right this ship and go Bowling!

Last week we beat Stanford 16-6 and now we are up 34-0 against Eastern Illinois in the third quarter.

Defense looks good so far.

Go Fitz!

Go Cats!

If Stanford's play calling was from this century, I'd feel much better about the Cats. Mauling a little guy like Eastern does nothing for me. But damn if their season schedule isn't as soft as they come (except for the Madison game)

Ball State next week in Evanston.

Undefeated at 3-0.

Fitz has a historically good record in September. They look good now but they will have their typical stretch where they lose three of four in the middle of the season. The Stanford win looks really good now that the Cardinal upset USC. I'm not sold on them yet but the West division is hot garbage so NU getting to the title game would not stun me.

September is usually filled with easy games.

This year is different. Stanford is a very good team who some were touting for the playoffs before they were rolled by the Cats. Duke under Cutcliffe has been consistently good. This is an impressive resume right now.

Bowling Green is not going to be a cakewalk. MAC has a few skins on the wall this pre conference season and BG has a good offensive team.

As I just mentioned in the other thread, that frosh QB is going to blow up in their faces soon. He is bad.I thought last season they had a few options at QB.

I'm starting to really come around on them. Thanks USC!

I really don't care for the frosh QB, but then again he is still a freshman & Christian Jones hasn't come around like I was certain he would.

Leading DaMaNee's Ball State 21-10 in the 3rd.

Defense did not look good in first half.

Go Cats!

I should note it's a bunch of huge ML, so it only pays +300. A win is a win!

NU is now 5-0 and currently ranked #16 in the nation. Defeated Minnesota 27-0 in B1G opener today.

Got the middle eastern kid today walking into the gym with the no doubt, brand spanking new "N" Sweatshirt, with the sewn on logo. Shiny new...and my fave is seeing him smile as if he was on the field today. Of course I dont know that he wasn't, but if you gave me odds, I would take the wager I am right on this one. #PRIDE

A great day for The Wildcats in Evanston!

First NU shut out in almost 20 years... when Fitz was playing linebacker.

Go Cats!

Fitz is an awesome game prep coach. Always maximizes talent.

So is Mr Psycho

Gonna be an excellent viewing match and some high priced exec wagers.

It will be a great test that's for sure. Momentum is definitely on their side. Looking forward to seeing them whip Harbaugh's boys.
