For a few dollars more, you can get the Terry Boers model - when you open the flap you'll hear "moon landing eh eh eh eh eh eh Hey Buddy ....".

Is it just me, or is it entirely selffish to schedule your wedding on "important" days of the year. Now because of this, I will probably have to do something on the 13th for Valentine's Day. :x :x I've never been invited to a New Year's Eve wedding, but if I did, I would probably slug the happy couple in the face.

Hey Guys! Want to drop all of your fun holiday plans, and come to a wedding?

Just pick a weekend nobody cares about, ok?
I was typing my post at the exact same time.

Ha Valentine's Day is important to you guys. Losers!!!!

I've been to one NYE wedding. I felt the same way that you did DB when I heard the date, but it actually was very fun. You're dressed up and get to hang out and drink with friends and family, don't have to deal with amateur hour at the bars, and we stayed the nigh where the wedding was so we didn't have to worry about driving anywhere.

The 4th of July, Memorial/Labor Day weekend, etc people can suck it however.

Considering my wife's job as a gymnastics coach pays about $16k per year that is pretty accurate.

Agreed. NYE wedding would be fine, it would actually give you something fun to do on a night that sucks.

Anyone complaining about having to skip VD to go to a wedding is a douche. its not even a real holiday. Plus it gives u a romantic setting to have your date, not sure why anyone would complain about that.

People who schedule their weddings on 3 day holidays like Memorial day, 4th fo July or Labor day are selfish Caller Bobs who think the world revolves around them.

We did ours on the Sunday of Memorial Day and it couldn't have worked out better. We had a lot of people coming from other driveable areas so people all got together and did stuff all weekend. We also had a golf outing on Saturday.

We understood if people couldn't make it but attendance actually ended up higher than what we were told to expect and it basically turned into a family reunion for each side.

Fortunately, this was before I was around. My wife's two uncles got married in October 2005. One was the El Duque game of the ALDS. The other was Game 1 of the WS.

Talk about selfish Caller Bobs...

Getting Married on a holiday vs. getting married on a Horse.

I say, let em crash.
