More power to them. I think it's stupid to pay $100 just to get into a bar to watch a baseball game on TV.

I think it is stupid to spend money on weed in order to 'relax.'

To each their own, right?

Wow. Just heard this on the news.

At John Barleycorn they are charging $250 cover for the home games and $500 to reserve a table.

I guess that keeps out the riff-raff. They'll get a high society crowd.

Anyone going to be down there? I am trying to decide when to get down to the game and am willing to meet up beforehand.

PSA if anyone is driving in; there is a Shell station at Addison & Halsted that charges you $20 to park, and the $ is donated to March of Dimes. They have about 10 spots, but I'm sure they will go quickly.

I am probably doing Metra from Arlington Park and then busing it to Clark. My guy still has one roof top ticket left....

Unless you guys are meeting up earlier, I will probably just go straight to the roof. I am more than willing to hit somewhere outside of Wrigleyville too.

Bars are already packed. It's going to be insanity down there.

my guess is free/low cover places will already be packed. you should just go to the rooftop early and take advantage of the unlimited beer/food

Yeap, I figured as much. Cleveland was crazy too. We were able to get into a place, but the streets were packed everywhere. That's the way it should be. I love to see all the excitement.

They were charging up to $100 to park in Cleveland, and I guess those lots normally go for $10. The Uber guy told us the covered parking garage was charging $225.

The guy said we can get in one hour before....I got no problem taking a half day and hanging somewhere outside Wrigley. But yeah that is the plan. Despite all the angst around here, it would be fun hanging with supposedly jolly Cubs fans!

Money is no object! Let's meet at Barleycorn. I'll order Bascomb to circle in the limo until an hour after the game.
