We've been going since the very early 80s. This is a unique league as only Friday's games count (with Saturday as a back-up for guys who did not play). There are also scheduled doubleheaders (Friday (Saturday) and Saturday (Sunday)). Entry fee is $160.00 and we play for a nickel a point. The most anyone has ever lost beyond the $160 is about $350 and that was a team that was just fucking brutal. It's not ordinary.

I'm looking for at least four teams. Nas, I know I've mentioned this to you before, I'm counting on you to take a team.

Let me know if you are interested and I will e-mail you the complete rules.

JORR is not a fan of baseball. JORR is a fan of fantasy sports.

Not really. I quit this fuckin' thing for about ten years and now I'm being called upon to find some replacement teams for guys who are being douchebags.

I dislike fantasy baseball for precisely the reason that I am a baseball fan and specifically a Sox fan. If I have Yu Darvish going for me on a Friday night and he's facing the Sox, now I have to root against either my fantasy team or my real team. But at least this thing is only one day a week and it doesn't require constant attention like some leagues. Plus there are no keepers so we're all on equal footing to start the season.

I'll take a team if you can't get them filled but id have to think you can find more knowledgable and willing people.

You don't want Nas. My team of scrubs just handed him his first loss in fantasy hoops last week. He's clearly a beta.

Hey how did y/our team do last year? I know I got you all aboard the Thor express but then again I believed in Miguel Sano, who should actually be a pretty solid [relative] bargain after last year.

I remember you were all about Juan Nicasio last year while I was a Jerad Eickhoff guy. And uhhh yeah, didn't I make you get Nomar Mazara too? You can do a lot worse than a .264/20/64 kid who started his age-20 season as a NA (are you listening Hahn?)

My team was terrible. Syndergaard and Kershaw took a lot of their losses on the weekend. Plus Kershaw missed time. Sano didn't play third enough to be any good in this league. Guys are not position eligible unless they actually play the position in the game on Friday.

My grandmother claims she is a fan of baseball too. She just plays for the fantasy aspect too. It's ok.

We can say that about anything you participate in.

Yeah the whole "3 day weekend" aspect of things is beyond me cuz you know I'll go to war with Kershaw and Syndergaard and take my chances and likely end up at least pretty OK 14/10 times.

That said don't sleep on Jharel Cotton this year!

I just need one more team. Draft is March 19 at noon. It's very easy to mansge a team in this league. Weekends only. You can compete without devoting time every day and making a million changes.

You did. I guess I have to pay attention now. I just assumed that I would win every week after my start. I thank Bagels for my team too. He drafted about 10 players I wanted before my pick. My 2nd option was clearly best.

My lethal combination of Lance Stephenson, E'Twaun Moore, Taj Gibson, and Paul Zipser was too much for Team Nas to handle.

No offense JORR but that's probably why your team didn't do good last year. While drafting obviously sets a foundation for a team, the actual game is playing fantasy baseball like the stock market;. Sometimes you "pump-n-dump" (or well more "milk-n-dump") and sometimes you play for the long/er term. Honestly drafting isn't much strong point, moreover keeping an eye on the game and constantly evolving my team is.... *Shrug*

Except in this league you can't make pick-ups, you have a 28 man roster and there is a mid-season draft, that is the only other time you can pick up players.

I expect to be running away with this league by that mid season draft
