I wish Rattle and Hum had been a straight studio album instead of a patchwork of new music, covers, live songs, and pretentious chatter. Could have been a classic like the albums before and after it. I wish I could find a copy of "Van Diemen's Land" without the applause fadeout at the beginning and the interview clip at the end. Ruined it. Always found it weird how "God Part II" was basically an Achtung Baby track but "One," the song that allegedly saved the Achtung Baby sessions, would have been more at home on Rattle and Hum. |

They are still excellent live and this tour is no different. Saw them earlier -- great show. Only issue - watching them post pictures of Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton with women who actually have changed the world. Other than that, great show. Lumineers were also excellent. |

Going Sunday. Also going to Petty. Which means two concerts this summer which is one more than typical. I don't count American English at Arlington Heights Frontier Days, an annual event for us, because it's free and just a short bike ride from home. |
