It's high time for this and I've missed at least two of these events.

If we're all lucky, I'll find the videos I had of the first two Bowling events.

This event has been a fine chance to see various board luminaries and also a chance to see your sports radio personalities. Past radio attendees:

Fred Huebner
Silvy
Drinky
Baldy McGrindy and various producers
and more!

So an alley needs to be picked, since the last one I organized, the alley has closed (skypoint for Don's Piracy)

Maybe even SHARK will show up! Or OKC.

I plan on keeping this close to the city. I know this will not make Chus happy but hopefully a compromise can be reached.

Post your best Saturday(s) as well in November. We'll go with the most popular.

Why would you say that? I didn't complain about the location of the first two events. The third and fourth were completely organized by me, so naturally, I set it up near me.

Is that joint up on Harlem Avenue still open?

Really couldn't be an easier place to find and get to even if you've never been in the area.

Circle Lanes in Forest Park would get my vote. It's practically in Oak Park, about 2 blocks from the Oak Park Metra station (or CTA Green Line Harlem stop), and a very short train ride or drive from the city.

I might give this a shot if'n we do something like Forest Park.

I stink at bowling, though.

Not the place I was thinking of but that's as good if not better.

The Harlem alley was MontClare, and it closed a few years back.

Circle Lanes would work for me.

*edit; Checked their website and it should be noted that CIRCLE LANES IS CASH ONLY

it's not really worth getting into, but I do recall some frustration on your part that the event was originally going to be in the city for B3 (which you took over and yes, put out by us). You were put out that you could get better deals and put it in an alley that you knew well but I pushed for the city. Not a big deal.

I don't recall that being the case. The only thing that bothered me was somebody asking one week before the event why it wasn't in the city. We talked about it for weeks, and found a time and place that worked. This person said nothing in the planning stage.

I had no issue at all going to the city or Oak Park, other than both houses were absolute dumps. One didn't take debit/credit cards.

they were both decidedly dumps.

Glad to hear you're not put out to be closer to the city.

Any other alleys, boys? (or girls)

I can't put a poll up but I'd say let's shoot for the second Saturday in November?

11-11 works for me.

I could give you a few easy pointers to get going, Furious. I never have been as good as Boyd or CHUSE, but I did carry a 180 average in my heyday.
