Great drive by Jet, then I put a wedge to about 10 ft and sank the putt. Next hole jet put our third shot on a par 5 to about 5 ft and sank the putt. Red numbers!

The golf wasn't great but I had a great time! I was by far our weakest link but I did manage a couple decent shots. I'm really glad the hot blew out of here yesterday.

I did not do well at all driving the golfball. I think I might have hit 2, maybe 3 fairways. I had some garbage iron shots, but I had some good ones that we were able to use at as well. My lag putting was probably the best of the group for the most part. I was able to get us a close a few different times to save par. Also drained about a 15-18 footer for a par which unfortunately was about the longest putt any of us sank all day long.

From the first time I played with Don about 3 years ago, its like a different golfer. He absolutely bombed some drives and shots out there, none better than him getting one about pin high just barely off the fringe from 200 yards out on a par 4 into the wind. Furious's put MANY drives smack in the middle, despite his sore hand. He was more frustrated with himself I think than anything else. Piddly injuries like that are quite annoying. If Golden Jet played 9 holes a week or two before this outing to shake the rust off, he would be money. The guy definitely has some skills on the course, he's just out of practice. shakes has got himself a weird, goofy looking swing, but it absolutely works for him. His back was giving him trouble and he was feeling it towards the end of the round. He gave zero fucks about cart path only.

With the wind and rain the course got, it definitely played pretty long. Only two times I think did we have less than 130 in on a par 4. Greens were slow and there was not much roll in the fairway, and almost nothing as far as roll goes in the rough. Still, the course was in pretty nice shape and Mother Nature cooperated keeping things comfortable for the most part.

Good time, great group of guys. I'd play with them anytime. Don't think I'll do it again next year though, $125 is a lot of money to spend on an outing that shitty.

Let me know if this is ever priced correctly at $50 and I'm in.

Indeed, good times. Game is getting better and we did score below par for the round. Tough with those conditions of getting high and drunk the whole time.
It's not the JORR Invitational without me winning a couple of raffle prizes. Picked up the beer basket with about 18 fancy selections. Also hit on the lotto tickets board. A $20 investment of raffle tickets for $50 bucks in scratchers. There were a couple $15 winners, a 10, and a few break even tickets for a total of $54.

We are ahead! Of course we are going to blow the whole wad on more scratchers, instead of the $34 net gain. Keep posted to this thread for further developments.

So yeah, made some good hits and took some great hits. Looking forward to next year.

It was instantaneous relief. There was a loose piece of nail and in there pretty deep. Said I was wise to not mess around with it further. My new (to me) irons have an extra wrap, less pressure on the finger. All set for this weekend. Prairie View in Byron and a course to be named later. Hoping to survive another visit to the west side of Rockford.

Definitely. My niece was in a play at the Starlight Theatre - she's moving to Chicago this month, so not sure how often I'll get out that way now. I never did make it to Prairie View and that's a course I need to play once a year at a minimum. Conditions there are supposed to be impeccable right now.
