Two Chicago natives (myself and Woodridge Ryan) have a podcast called the Sports Talk Underground that has been on a summer long hiatus.

The hiatus ends tomorrow when we begin debut the first of our nine part series in preview the 2007 NFL season. We will preview each of the eight divisions in the NFL over the course of the next few weeks. Then on Labor Day weekend we will do an all-encompassing ninth show where we will run down the 2007 season and make our predictions for the season.

You can listen to our shows through our website at www.sportstalkunderground.com. We are relaunching the website tomorrow to coincide with the debut of our new shows and the launch of the Sports Talk Underground Network; home to other shows such as Cover 32 (NFL recap show), The Ryan Simmons Show and Larry From The Underground. You can find all of these shows on our website and on iTunes as well.

Tomorrow is the big day, so give us a listen and spread the word and support two of Chicago's own.

Thanks,

Larry D.

And a HUGE thank you for posting this in the correct section, unlike other some other people who plug stuff on this message board.

Forgot to mention that the first show that debuts tomorrow will be covering the NFC North. So we will be getting into some Bears talk right off the bat and discussing the other three train wrecks that they share the division with.

So how come Ryan has been here posting like crazy and you've never made it around until he takes a pseudo hiatus? Just curious.

I've always just kind of stuck the board that we have for our show, that's why I'm just joining now.

We're also really excited about the show getting up and running again so I'm working my way around to promote the show as much as I can.

Simmons is probably on hiatus from this board because he's the one responsible for the website and he's been putting in a lot of time to make sure everything is working properly for the re-launch tomorrow.

Just my guess.

The show will be up on our website tomorrow and you can listen to it whenever you want. It's a podcast so it's more of an "on-demand" type of thing as far as listening to it is concerned.

It's also available on iTunes as well. Or it will be.

Our other shows Larry From The Underground and The Ryan Simmons Show are already up on iTunes now if you want to check those out.

Larry, drop the STU signature logo pic. That's too much. Cut it all together.

I think I'll be alright, thanks Rooney.

I'm keeping it in condensed to the one thread, I won't be starting any new ones. So I'll keep all of my announcements to the one thread and you feel free to ignore then when I do.

Deal?

I guess you need to define "native" for me. I thought you said you were from the Quad Cities. And I know Ryan is from there. I'm from there too. The last thing my Chicago-born friends would say about me is that I'm a "native".

Unfortunately I'm no native and technically Larry isn't a native of Chicago, but Evanston. i don.t know how you Chicago people work that out.

I was born in Chicago, raised on the Northside minutes away from Wrigley Field for most of my childhood. Lived just down the street from the Uptown Theatre and the Aragon Ballroom. Didn't move to Evanston until I got to high school.

I started college in the Quad Cities as St. Ambrose and lived there five years before returning home in December of '05.

But fear not, I am Chicago born and bred.

I've always wondered why the members of this board seem to have unusually large foreheads and distinct overbites.

 Don't forget the bib overalls. They go well with the overbite and the 50 pounds of extra weight the locals are required to carry.
