a few weeks ago, i made a trip out to berwyn to take pictures of the spindle. it really is a shame that walgreens can't find a way to build their new store AND keep the spindle. when i was out there, i couldn't help but notice that there is ample room to build a free-standing structure between the spindle and cermak.

i agree...SAVE THE SPINDLE!

That link to WILL-AM/FM/TV in Champaign was scary.

I used to work there and all the same people are still there.

Here's a world's colliding - one show I did with an Andy Rooney impersonator was broadcast to 48 states on the PBS network (he also did Larry King and about 5 Presidents). That guy is still on Extension 720 pretty regularly.

It was quite a few years ago but I seem to recall thinking it was more bad combover than toupee. But don't quote me on that. Oh, go ahead.
