most of the regs know my situation.

but, I actually have GOOD news to report. my sisters boyfriend (also one of my best friends and fellow music collaborator) is going to ask my sista to marry him next saturday. there will be a "surprise" engagement party afterwards at Northside this Sat.
If any of you City kids have nothing to do....please stop by.
We'll have the back room reserved and just look for the skinny prick of a bald guy.........

Having just planned a bachelor party this summer for a complete moron of a groom, I'll give you some advice, which is something I learned the hard way. Do not let him have any say in it whatsoever. Let him pick the weekend and that's it.

Sure, it turned out to be fun, but the "scope creep" was a constant source of irritation for me. Not to mention having to incorporate activities for a 17 year old best man.

I have a great story of relevance.

One of my friends had a sister who was getting married to one of his good friends. A few days before the wedding he was helping the friend move into their post wedding house. They were taking a couch up the stairs and my friend talked about how great the couch felt. His friend told him it would feel even greater as he was railing his sister (he used more graphic terms) on a daily basis on it.

I hope you get to enjoy those awkward moments, doug!

I'm not worried about them. They've been dating for six years and have been living together for four years. the awkward moments are long gone by now.
