i could do the sausage & egg on a bagel before...but then when they changed from the yellow/"omelette" looking fake egg to the "trying to look real with a yolk " fake egg, i couldn't do it. that thing is soooo nasty. that's why, even if the Taco Bell breakfast somehow did look appealing, i couldn't do it...i have zero tolerance for fake egg now

Lou Malnati's is the worst Chicago pizza I've eaten, stuffed or thin crust. As DB said, maybe it's because I only tried the suburban locations, but it is bland, and their "butter crust" does nothing to hide the fact that the thin pizza is also bland.

the crust sucks. actually everything about it sucks . there's something really weird with the cheese like its super super elastic/plasticky

Somebody posted not too long ago that Giordano's has changed, and I have to agree. We went there back in August and had one again this weekend and something was just different. Not sure if they changed the recipe or suppliers since the reorganization, but something about it was off. It wasn't bad, just not as good as its been in the past.

Im getting a little Lou's out lately. Close to the house so we get it a lot. Id kill for a Vito n Nicks for sure. When Im feeling like it I make the drive into Winfield to Gianorios for (extra) thin crust.

Brauerhouse in Lombard (formerly in Hillside) makes one of the best thin crust pizzas around.

Gianorio's isn't bad. I grew up a few blocks from there.

I haven't tried Maciano's.

Al's Pizza in Warrenville. Learn it.

I live in walking distance to the one By Schaumburg and Roselle roads, I grab takeout frequently from there, so my assesment of it being good relative to other locations is probably biased by the convenience factor.

Appreciate midwestern pizza while you can. Since moving to the East Coast, I can't get "good" pizza... only various levels of mediocre. And I'm not talking about stuffed pizza. The crispy thin crust pizza in the midwest is better than East Coast pizza (to me) probably because I was raised on it. New York style floppy pizza or brick oven pizza is good sometimes, but it's not Midwestern thin crust. I miss the hell out of it. They don't even cut it in squares! I have to request it special.
