5. Roast Beef

French Dips...ugh. We were in Michigan with the in-laws...having lunch and I got a french dip. I proceeded to dump the bowl of gravy on the sandwich...my in-laws thought I was nuts.

Then they came to Chicago, and we went to slum it at Portillo's. I got a beef dipped, and suggested they do the same.

Now they see things the right way.

As far as the rest of that list goes, roast beef, pb & j, grilled chicken, and I'd take chicken salad over anything else there.

My guilty pleasure is a good sloppy joe. By no means a top sandwich but so much better than egg salad or tuna.

A generic “Italian” cold cut sandwich is awesome as well.

You mean to tell me that a quarter of the country takes a bite out of a turkey sandwich and their first thought is, "yup, this sucks".
