I cooked 7 pounds. I ate about 2. Mussels are mostly shell. 5 pounds of mussels might yield 2 pounds of meat.

Sounds like a great Sunday buffet. Vodka on the rocks in the morning while wife is gone is a glorious relaxing start to the day.

I love my Wife, but oh how I wish I had a few more days like this each year. The only thing better is when she goes away on her annual fall weekend with the girls.
Next time I should have a pantsless CSFMB get together here!

Popeye's four piece. As always, make sure a stupid wing isn't one of the pieces.

Free Chili apparently.

It's a cold, grey day, and what's the best thing for a cold grey day? If you answered chili, then you have a real treat in store, as the city of San Antonio is in town and they brought free chili.

If that sounds a little odd to you, we agree—when was the last time a strange city gave you free food? It sounds like something your mother warned you against in elementary school. Well, it's all part of a campaign to encourage Chicago to San Antonio tourism (which, given the weather, actually sounds pretty great right now).

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the corner of Adams and Wacker, the Tamale Spaceship truck will be handing out free chili. No strings, just free deliciousness. Even better, if you're a history nerd, it's the same recipe that San Antonio brought to Chicago in 1893 to serve at the World's Columbian Exposition.

Go get some chili!

I am in Tokyo right now and the McDonald's have an interestiing burger (and for McDonald's actually fairly good). It's a seedless Big Mac bun. The top part has mashed potato and bacon (no beef). The bottom part has beef and grilled sauteed onions.

Qdoba vs Chipolte?

The age old question, what's better, a plate of dog shit or a bowl of dog shit?

How do you get back to work after eating one of those things? I'm practically comatose after knocking down a burrito.

I just order my minions around and throw one of those tiny nerf footballs with the sales guys.

I had an horchata to help wash it down. That helps.

yea I tried going there at lunch a month ago, there must've been 50 people standing inside their tiny restaurant. Pass. How do people at work even have time for that type of wait?
