had a couple Gene and Jude's today. That's a huge amount of food for $5. Ate em at 10:30 and still kind of full. need to digest for Jim and Pete's tonight.

I go there for pizza all the time. Not the greatest ever but solid. I used to like the old armands but that's gone. Not much pizza around here. Malnatis opened in downtown oak Park but I'm not a big chain guy

Al's hot dog's are an overlooked menu item. They are really good if you find yourself wanting something other than a combo or beef. They used to be a staple for me when taking the El home from school back in the day but they were only about $1 for a hot dog and fries back then

Went to Gene and Jude's for the first time today. Pretty damn good dog. I like tomatoes on my dog but I get the keep it simple thing. The fries may have been the greasiest fries I have ever had in my life. Not saying that is a bad thing.

I lived in Chicago for 6 years in my 20's and never had a Chicago style hot dog. I had a shit ton of Mexican (TBX, el mariachi and RIP las fuentas) and plenty of pizza (pie hole, art of pizza and especially renaldi's ) which I never had a problem ordering a thin crust pizza. I miss the city and the availability of quality food 24/7
