Out of like 100 flavors i think there are only a handful of Ben & Jerry's flavors that are chunkless. Vanilla caramel swirl is the only one i can think of

Ben and Jerry's is a novelty from twenty years ago.

I don't buy ice cream for home. My wife love's Cherry Garcia.

I would much rather have an excellent base flavor to an ice cream than adding some kind of enhancer to an average base.

right, but there's only so much you can do with a base....add-in's & swirls are where you can get much more creative

B&J's isn't a novelty from 20 years ago...it's still a very solid ice cream

i recently tried Steve's for the first time- it might be the densest, sweetest ice cream i've ever had. My teeth were rattling as i was eating it

i'm not a huge Mariano's fan but they have a tremendous ice cream selection, better than any store i've been to

Brownie pieces, peanut butter cup pieces, and cookie dough create some of the most elite ice creams in the world.

I'm not an ice cream or sweets eater, but some of my family have become obsessed with Turkey Hill brand ice cream. I think it just went national or something and they can only get it at certain locations.

Peapod carries it, but i've never seen it at any local store
it's good but just a standard "non-premium" ice cream
although they have an "all-natural" line that's supposedly really good, i've not tried that nor seen it anywhere around here

Dont get me wrong, if I want to make a nice ice cream sundae, I'm going to go with a basic flavor and then dress it up. If I just want a bowl of ice cream though... There better be something in there more than a damn swirl of caramel.

An ice cream creation is entirely different. Those things are not frozen into the ice cream and every bite can be measured perfectly to taste.

Swirls have already been identified as being acceptable.

Not really an ice cream person, but this seems similar to saying I don't need no meatballs in my spaghetti. Just a good spaghetti base for me!

well, in the case of spaghetti and meat balls, each of the items should be able to stand on their own as a good meal

You'd probably enjoy this B&J flavor...

I think I had that one at the B&J factory.

Probably the only good thing Jimmy Fallon has ever done.
