My parents are in town end of this week and we are taking them to the Cubs game on Friday afternoon. Sort of a bucket list thing for my dad.
Anyway, we will possibly eat before the game and definitely after the game is over. I am not familiar with the area like I once was and not
sure what is gone or what has popped up in the area. My folks are in their mid 60s and relatively mobile but I don't think we are going to
want to walk more than 4-6 blocks in any direction from Wrigley. I am aware of places like Cubby Bear and Yakzies, just wondering what
else is out there. Would be happy with a good sit down place after the game or even someplace with great pizza. Thanks in advance for
any insight you cretins could provide here.

The Butcher's Tap on Southport has great sandwiches and burgers. I also know two guys from Wisconsin who say the cheese curds are the best they ever had.

Tango Sur on Southport. Argentinian steakhouse. BYOB. No corking fee. Great food. Great prices. No reservations so you may need to wait a while, but you can hit up another bar and they will call you when your name comes up.

If your parents/you enjoy cajun/creole food a place is relatively new just south of roscoe on clark called Lowcountry. It's where Blokes & Birds used to be. A couple of friends have been and said it's great.

one of those types of seafood boil restaurants copying angry crab where you buy by the pound.

crosby's kitchen on southport is alright. i think it's a tad expensive but it's a solid modern american or american bistro. whatever you want to call it.

hutch at school and clark is same as crosby's. typical solid modern american food.

Tbone, really simple. Go to Yelp, search restaurants in Wrigleyville. You'll get a list of all the restaurants ranked in order, from there you can check out each one and look at reviews and pictures to help make a decision.

I've had great success finding restaurants on Yelp no matter where I am.

T-Bone, we went last month and used this list to to decide our pre game meal. We finally ended up at Murphy's and it was a great place to chill and enjoy the atmosphere of the crowd vibe and sports memorabilia before the game. (First time ever at Murphy's). However, I wouldn't recommend it for a meal pre or post game. Hope this list helps out. We got to Wrigleyville about 3:30 and had plenty of time to walk around and enjoy the outside of the park/neighborhood before going in. Have a good time.

Yeah I know this was a very broad question as there are 100's of places to choose from. Since I wanted to make it kind of special I was hoping for advice from people I
have "known" for years and trusted instead of strangers. I tried typing in places to eat in Wrigleyville and felt a bit overwhelmed.

Just wander the streets screaming for people to direct you to a restaurant.

Tango Sur is on my list of restaurants to hit. Comes highly recommended from many, including our Argentinian waiter at Fogo de Chao.

I'd trust the Yelp reviews and the sample size they provide vs a handful of people here who most likely don't live in that neighborhood.

Of the places mentioned I've been to Crosby's Kitchen. It's pretty good, I'd take my parents there.

I like Penny's Noodles. There is another Thai place just south of Addison on Sheffield on the west side of the street that is a small, family owned place. It has great food and is a pre or post game stop for people in the know. There is no bar so you won't have to talk over the drunken conversations of frat boys. You can usually find team and media people in there a couple of hours before the game.
