It's why I can't argue against ribs, it's just that the quality can be spotty at bbq places. I no longer have a "place" for ribs

I can see where tips can be a fatty pain, unless you grew up with them. Kinda like Marylanders eating whole crabs or folks who grew up on whole oysters.

I agree about trying to get BBQ at a restaurant. BBQ is done when it's done. The idea of ordering it kind of makes my brain hurt.

Unless you are absolutely on top of having things resting and ready to go with perfect timing for lunch or dinner, you're not going to get a good plate.

Rib tips are my favorite bbq dish, especially when served with good hot links.

And as a member of a 100% Polish-American family, I can assure you that this glorious food didn't make it into the regular dinner rotation during my childhood. :wink:

for me its not that ribs are too much work, i love gnawing on bones. for me its that they are so expensive for what you get. full racks generally start off around 18 bucks at standard bbq places and go up from there. thats insane for a cut of meat that years ago was considered garbage.

that list is garbage too base on what i see listed in a few states. it just goes to show you that most people have 0 clue when it comes to bbq. its why so many people's secret for cooking the perfect rib is boiling it first.
