Ok I am breaking my promise and posting. I'm in jury duty and am looking for a place for a sandwich. I expect a few of you have intimate knowledge of the location so I'm looking for a suggestion

Thanks and go cubs

It sucks when you get 26th and Cal for jury duty. I did once. I actually had a murder trial. Bad neighborhood. Just eat in the cafeteria.

We're all worried for your safety, Good Dolphin.

Gotta be a Subway near there. Today is probably Tuna Day, or something.

Yeah. I went home for mine, since I lived close to the courthouse. Though, once I was actually on the jury, you couldn't leave for meals. Instead, they brought in food from a nearby diner that was ice cold by the time we got back to the jury room. Never eating at Gus' Diner again.

If you don't want tacos, head over to 24th and Oakley. There's about 6 Italian restaurants in 2 blocks, I'm sure there is a decent deli.

I truly don't get the love for Popeye's. IMU told me it's his favorite chicken. Even though it's chain fast food, I've given it a whirl a few times, and it's always terrible.

Just another reason why Leash is a horrible human being.

popeyes is what it is. their cajun rice and a 2 piece meal with a biscuit is pretty hard to beat. We finally have a popeyes opening up after a like 20 yr hiatus here in the QC.

still no fiveguys.

Five Guys is the absolute worst. You know how that place got its name? After you get done shitting that burger out it feels like you've been fucked in the ass by five guys.

It's just fucking terrible. A notch below Taco Bell and just above CiCi's Pizza on the fast food charts.

You guys probably don't know Joe Budden, but he's a rapper who made a diss song towards Drake, and in one of his lines he said to Drake "Since you're signed to 5 guys, then that makes you a burger."

I do. Isn't he the dude who chased those kids down a couple months ago? I get all my hip hop news from Sway, Tracy G, and Heather B.

This is the first time Joe Budden has been talked about since 2003.

I got called up to a courtroom just before lunch after waiting there all morning. The judge gave us 30 minutes for lunch, which means cafeteria or nothing. I should have chosen nothing.

The judge decided to handle jury selection. She asked each potential juror if they knew any judges. I responded "yes" when she asked me. When she asked who, I told her I knew her boss (in a friendly way, not some arrogant, threatening manner). When asked if it was on a friendly basis I said we had lunch last month (sorry Seacrest). "Thank you for your service, mr. dolphin". Desperate times call for desperate measures.

This is one of the Italian restaurants. Love the Pasta Roger. BTW, this area rivals Taylor Street IMO. Unfortunately you need more than 1/2 hour for lunch though.

It's what happens when Jimmypasta and Rogers Park Bryan open a restaurant together.

RPB is a silent partner, though, so for some reason Pasta hired Kevin James to run the joint.

Rigatoni with spinach & peas in a cream sauce and baked with fresh parmesan.
