I will be at St. Lawrence tonight and have need for a recommendation for dining afterwards. What ya got for me?

I saw some polish place on 79th and Chucks Southern Comfort. Those are top 2 on the list at the moment but I don't know if these are any good. It is Burbank, after all.

the quality has gone down slightly as they've expanded (concurrent with prices going up too of course), but it's still very good despite that
i would skip the BBQ and go for one of the specials

Bagels is right, chucks has dipped a bit from the past..still solid though.

The Chucks in Darien might be the worst restaurant I've ever been to. Salad, bbq, burgers, and Southern all the worst.

Chuck's is really good.

Duke's on 81st & Harlem is one of the best beefs you will ever have.

Hey there Bubbles, whenever I hop in the 'Vette and swing down to Toyota Park to check out the Fire, I always make a side trip over to see my guys at Chuck's Southern Comforts Cafe. When Billy, that's right, Bill Murray, came to town to see the Cubs, I scooped him up at the airport, we stopped at Harry Caray's to get Frankie O, and we swung on down to grab some of the best BBQ and Cajun I've ever had. Even better than Indianapolis. As a thanks for the great meal, I'm gonna have Producer Jared send some nice down pillows and a Lou's gift card to Chuck.

I live near the location on Cass. It's not nearly as good as Burbank, but good enough so that I don't have to drive 30 miles round trip and still the best sit-down place within a 15 minute drive. The biggest issue for me is that the bar is not nearly as nice, and I don't like the remodeling they did to try and keep the sound from the back room.

But you can tell when Chuck is actually in the house, the food comes out substantially better.

Chuck puts peanuts into a lot of his Mexican food, which does limit the menu to me a little. But I tend to go with a Mexican appetizer and a bowl of soup, and maybe a salad with grilled shrimp on it.

You would have enjoyed the football. It was the company that was not as great. My son is a great kid but he is a teenager. Loving in one moment and combative the next. We had taco burrito King.
