Beers like these aren't sitting on shelves. I wait a few hours one day every year, and I have a huge stash of barrel aged beers that are aging in my basement.

The wait today went by quickly. I was chillin with a couple friends. I brought a thermos full of warm apple cider and my flask. My guy bought bagels at the grocery store next door, so we got our grub on too. It was all good.

Like I said cool. Leash is close to my thought. I just don't have the passion for that.

I waited 5 mins at my local shop and was 4th on line and scored 9 bottles. I did ok. Fuck that lining up at 2:00 AM stuff though.

If you want all of the variants, including a crack at the '15 Rare, you wait in line.

Got a 2015 rare last week at prop day.

So, you had to go to two places, and you had to luck out in the lottery. That's not much different than waiting at one place.

Prop Day was an all day festival. The buying of the beer was a very small portion of it.

I understand, but you still had to get lucky in the lottery, and go to two different places. And you still didn't get the coffee or barleywine.

You kids play nice or I'll post the pic of what we had at thanksgiving to stop the violence. (Hint: Barrel Aged Ten Fiddy didn't even make the photo)

Woke up 8.30 Thursday and drove over to Costco when it opened at 9. Grabbed the bottle limit. Out the door by 9:05. Then drove over to Binny's and grabbed 2 more at 9.15. They were still handing out Barleywine but I declined.

Longest wait was in line to pay at Binny's.

Haven't tasted a beer yet in my life that's worth waiting hours in line for.

My buddy just sold a '12 Cherry Rye for $205 and a '13 Backyard Rye for $120. The '13 Proprietors, which I have, just sold for $250.

Maybe it's not so stupid to wait in line for a couple of hours.

There are probably a bunch of better barrel aged beers on the shelf at Binny's.

What do you suppose a well cellared '08 would go for?
