Can't go wrong with the Josh wines. Great name too. Should all be around $12-$18.

Two of my favorite inexpensive Cabs are The Show and McManus. Both pretty good for $10-12 wines. Good EDW (Every Day Wine).

I'm not really that big on whites except with specific food pairings. I did drink a decent Alsatian Riesling recently that was a good match with spare ribs and sauerkraut- Zind-Humbrecht I think it was a '13 and around 25 bucks.
