A few of us talked about this and were thinking of meeting up South on Saturday, July 8th. Anyone up for it? If not July 8th, another date?

Where: I live in Beverly. I quit drinking a long time ago, so I don't even know where a cool place to go would be. Ideas? I'll go anywhere. I'd have people come to my house, but this place sucks. So . . . ideas?

Special guest: New Zealand singer Lorde will more or less be in attendance.

I really have few ideas as to what is even going in Beverly now, pick a place where I can get a brew and I'm good.

The more relaxed the better.

IN, as you know.

I'm hoping others will join, but we don't need them.

I should be available that day. I'm in Merrionette Park. I could do either Beverly or Blue Island.

I have baseball and will otherwise be socializing at the Irish Fest at the Irish American Heritage Center.

You can meet up with me there, drink a Guiness and sing some trad with me if you would like.

I think I'd rather listen to the Jonas Brothers while having my leg sawed off on a Civil War battlefield before voluntarily going to Groucho's.

King Louie. They tried to take the man down in St. Bede's. Shame.

Great beer selection. Can get pretty pricey. I'm down for whatever. Except Groucho's. I'd be cool with Vito & Nicks though. Straight cash homie.

It was a joke. I live close to it so I know its not great. Rather go to Durbin's on 79th.

Yeah, Scottsdale isn't exactly a great neighborhood anymore.

--Rock Island Public House in Blue Island
--Maple Tree Inn in Blue Island
--Durbins in Burbank

I had a friend conceive his kid in the Groucho's parking lot about 15 minutes after meeting the mom on the dance floor there.

If your looking for a true shit hole I'd suggest the bar inside Gee-Jays Liquors.

Chucks has a bar connected to the restaurant.

Haven't been to either in years, but I'm in for Maple Tree Inn or Vito & Nick's, and this is a good reason to go back

Vito & Nicks has Old Style on Tap. The pizza is highly over rated though.
