I'm in full swing for my mid-life crisis and trying as many types of drinks as possible. I've settled on an old-fashioned. The peel and cherry just seem to bring out the bourbon well.

whiskey/coke or whiskey/diet. I like to mix things up depending on the mood.

I think I’ve tried every whiskey concoction ever made, but I now just prefer Jack/diet. Fall back on simple, I guess.

If I have a good bourbon, I still drink it straight.

I’ve always liked Manhattans, especially at decent places. A cold Manhattan (up) at the end of a long day is special.

Cocktail is ginger and Jameson. Prefer black. Could go old fashioned or sour as well. Summer time it’s Gin and Tonic although my wife hates gin.

Usually I just go straight rye or bourbon.

Lemonade is always dope.

Mango juice is also tight. Especially if there are small bits of mango included. You must try the ethnic brands, not just Naked.

Stop the act, vegan. I saw you get into all sorts of hooch when we met up.

In the summer, god help me when this happens but I’ll take limeade and mix it with gin. The kids had cherry limeade once and I’m sorry to say it was very refreshing after mowing the lawn in a 95 degree day.

Cherry limeade and gin sounds pretty good!

Woodford and ginger if I am drinking on the airplane. Woodford, Knob Creek, or Crown Royal with one big cube of ice otherwise. Unless I'm drinking beer.

I've not been able to recreate this, but Bryant's up in Milwaukee makes a killer drink that is bourbon, cherry liquor, and a couple of other things on ice. I'm tempted to get a 20oz of Cherry Coke and put some Jack in it and see how close it gets.
