The Wrigleyville area really has the worst restaurants/bars/food. We tried Old Crow last week prior to Pearl Jam and its just horrible food.

I've also heard that the reason they focus on these type of crappy country bars in the area is to "keep out the element".

Every young person I know from high school on up is "into" "country". Country Thunder was a filled with a bunch of wealthy suburban kids slumming it for the weekend. It's like this era's version of Dan Bernstein's rap obsession.

Some of that, yes. Country Thunder also filled (mostly) with plenty of suburban teens driving pick-ups wearing sleeveless t-shirts in restaurants.
