$7 for a fuckin hot dog at wrigley field??

Fucked up.

Anyway around the 9th inning, went to take a piss and on the way back to my seat I was passing by one of the concession stands, and a thought occurred to me:

I asked the nearest lady if she has any leftover hot dogs she can part with.

She paused, and then slowly said "Surrrrre". She went and got me a ready-made hot dog. The bun was slightly hard but the dog was good.

Free hot dog.

I've tried this before at other ballgames and it's worked. But not in a long time until tonight.

My guess is that the concessions people get to take home the extras at the end of the night so it would be unusual for them to just give them up for free.

Anyway, congrats on the free dog. Free is good. Sometimes free hugs and candy aren't what they are advertised to be. I haven't fallen for that scam again in 40 years.

My buddy worked Brewers concessions for charity a few times. He said to not eat any concession food until at least the third inning. Apparently last night’s leftovers are all reheated and sold at the start of the next day.
