Tried the spicy sandwich today.

I found that the chicken was bigger and juicier than Chik-Fil-A's, and I liked the crispiness better than CFA's soggy outer-covering, but, although the chicken was tasty in its own right, the CFA chicken had a unique and tastier "funk" to it that this one lacked (sorry I couldn't find a better word). I think it is because CFA brines theirs in pickle juice (just what I heard).

The huge pickles on this sandwich kicked ass, but I also found the bun to be a bit too big (as compared to CFA), yet not enough to be over-bearing.

The biggest reason I am still saying CFA's sandwich is tops amongst the two is the sheer over-saltiness of the Popeye's sandwich, though. This sandwich was so damn salty I thought my blood pressure was going to go through the roof! It was way, way too much salt. That much was not necessary, and it actually camouflaged the taste of the meat. The heat was good, but I just couldn't get over the "over-seasoning".

Tried it for the first time. Definitely superior to Budlong and I think I like it more than Chic-fil-a. The spice and pickles really make it.

I like white meat chicken. I also like dark meat. On Thanksgiving, I go straight for the dark meat. For fried chicken, I prefer the breast and legs. I won't pigeonhole myself with chicken. Give me the best of both worlds.

the Fried chicken sandwich at JT's Sandwich Shop is a thigh. Best part of the chicken.


HBFC makes a boneless thigh, but for some reason they use tenders fro their sandwiches instead. Dumb decision.

I had one locally a couple of times. There is a Popeyes I pass out of my subdivision every day and rarely think off. Today I was coming back from Vegas and before we boarded our flight grabbed one at the airport. It was not good. The one in Lisle has been great on both occasions but Vegas airport one was just so not good. Un was cold and hard and chicken was dry. I think the location of the store makes a big difference. I don’t expect good quality from an airport honestly but I think Popeyes in general are pretty inconsistent.

Yeah that got way over hyped. I know I blamed every headache I had for a long time on MSG. It’s like egg yolks. It got improperly villianized.

Finally tried it. Worst fast food sandwich I ever had. Terrible. Gross.

Golda's Hot Dogs on Roosevelt Road across from Loyola Hospital in Maywood had the best fucking chicken sandwich ever. I hate that it's gone. So much stuff I like gets discontinued or whatever. Suuuuuuccccckkkksssss.....

It's amazing. Same guy that owns LoLo's. $12 a sandwich. Not cheap but it's not fast food. I don't understand all the hype behind that Popeye's sandwich. Extremely underwhelming. I'd rather eat a hot n' spicy McChicken.
