That Jewel Black Cherry was very good. And very, very cheap. For a very short time i was addicted to Mountain Dew Red. Norm Van Lier told me it was red crack. He wasn't wrong.

I also have found memories of Dad's root beer. I do not have found memories of gathering bottles and taking them back to the store for a few measly cents.

So.. back in 95% sober squirrel years I was a fan of Harry Weinhard’s root beer as well as Chugs Choice from Spanish Peaks in Bozeman. Actually, only time I was ever carded in Montana was buying root beer.

Occasionally get stuff from Boylen bottling company now. Their black cherry is pretty damn good as are their root and birch beers.

Big Red and Green River were ones I enjoyed at various middle school dances but can’t imagine making a habit of them. The old jewel pops were soccer and baseball end of season party staples. Fan of most of them except their cola.

I've always loved Dad's RB. That smokestack on the west side of the Eden's/Kennedy, with the neon Dad's sign was so cool to a little Jet.

I don't really drink soda anymore, but when I've craved root beer over the past year or so, I've usually reached for a giant bottle of Dad's. Minty!

Was a fan of Dad’s in my youth... been years since I’ve had one.
