That was a few years ago. She isn't afraid of Santa anymore. I don't think her little sister ever was afraid.

We already did an early Christmas with the folks and the daughter this past weekend - drove into the old area, went out to dinner, then went to the folks for dessert and merriment. Have to work in Toledo tomorrow, then will be home tomorrow night. The wife is making a lasagna for Christmas dinner, then I get to prep for a gallbladder removal on Friday. :puker: :pukel:

My dad is doing Kentucky Breakfast tomorrow for lunch... sounds pretty good.

I made some double chocolate chip cookies and a pineapple, date, and walnut cookie also because I got left out of the prime time stuff. Plus they are easy to make.

Sounds like for Christmas we are having some skirt or flank steak with a chimichurri at my BILs, so that should be good. Probably not going to be a long one because my stepson gets married on Friday, so lots of family commitments later in the week.

The kids tradition is to make a ice cream float in apricot nectar in the morning when they open their stockings. Walmart seems like the only place that has it anymore.

I think it's going to be terrible. My husband bought salted butter and I didn't realize it til now. Shit!

I'll give you a piece of advice that my grandfather once told me... When the world is running down, you make the best of what's still around. Sage advice even in this day and age.
