This deserves its own thread.

If you ever get a chance, try a Rockpile Cab or Zin.

Could never drink red wine. Gives me a headache and really gives me heartburn even after taking a stomach pill beforehand.

I wrote in the other thread Ferrari-Carbona. Also for a celebrity wine Coppola’s is serious.

Looking to start drinking red wine strictly for health reasons (one glass a night= good heart/circulation); any recommendations for a reasonably priced one that does the trick?

I like a good Zinfandel and Malbec. Coppola is really good. My wife is a big fan of the Lynfred Christmas wine currently.

Don’t get intimidated. Just go into Binnys and grab the first bottle you see. 90% chance it’s good

Honestly, a $5 or $6 bottle from Aldi would be fine for this.

Had a good California red blend with Raclette last night. I think it's traditional to drink whites with Raclette after skiing the Alps, but we had this nice ribeye so I pulled out a red. 2016 Arrow & Branch Red Blend. Pretty good.

I'm pretty sure he would think it was cool.

Also, my dad wasn't a big wine drinker but I have thought about how much he would have liked the craft beer explosion and the cocktail revival.

Glad this thread was started. Within the last 2 years, my wife and I had the "a-ha" moment and realized there is something to the whole wine thing. The problem was always MANY like sweet wines and that's what I always had. A dry red....bland or cab is AMAZING.

Coopers Hawk Barrel Reserve is amazing.
Rutherford Hills Cab or their mixed red is also really good.
For the budget line....can't go wrong with Josh Cabernet.

Fancy and nice.

Pro Tip: get friendly with your building engineer at work if you plan on setting this rig up at your desk. They know where the main breakers are for the smoke detectors.

Had my first and last full glass of red wine in my life a couple months ago. A few hours later I was puking my guts out.

I love wine and will drink it all. That said I'm either developing an allergy or they are have more sulfa based stuff in them. If anybody knows what goes into a wine or what I can drink I'm all ears.

Supposedly the store bought wine has more sulfates so it lasts longer. If you buy directly from a winery there are not added sulfates. But they could also just want you to join a wine club. All wine has sulfates in it naturally.
