Feels like the breakfast baconator is a missed opportunity to do a breakfast burger, they’re just using a sausage patty

Supposedly Wendy's is using a real hen's egg like White Castle does. I'm not sure exactly what it is that McDonald's calls an "egg".

All McMuffins use real eggs, cracked and cooked in store fresh. Other eggs are liquid eggs or frozen eggs.

Go with the McMuffin always.

It doesn't have the texture of a real egg though. It's a rubbery disc. The other day my wife got a Big Breakfast and it didn't have scrambled eggs, it had these two weird egg squares.

I'm off tomorrow. There's a Wendy's around the corner from the girls' daycare (damn right they're going), I'll pick up some breakfast after I drop them off and try to remember to report back.

There used to be an old greek greasy spoon in my neighborhood that featured the chopped steak and eggs breakfast. It was basically a hamburger, scrambled eggs and hash browns. I loved that. I think it opened at 5 am and there were a few times I was customer #1 on a sunday morning coming off a night out.

the place got gummed up when the next generation wanted to add a party room that was frequently rented out by gangs. I've seen quite a few of these successful decades old restaurants close after the next generation tries to change things up.

Greek diner owners worked so their kids could do better. Almost any second generation Greek owned diner is owned by a guy who can't work for other people or is flat out stupid.

I read an article about how Chinese restaurants are disappearing because all the kids of the owners are highly educated and none of them wants to be trapped working 80 hours a week in the restaurant.

Tried the baconator breakfast combo today. Very good. Although, like the BK croissandwich with bacon and sausage, it's too much. One meat or the other is probably better. Their sausage patty is as big as their full size burger patty...so it's huge.

The potato wedges are very good.

They use water so that the eggs poach a bit as well. It's actually a cool process, and I've tried to do it at home with the egg rings and everything. Not quite as good as McDonald's though. I usually just fry eggs the normal way, all chaotic and shit.
