My mom prefers mustard on her cheeseburgers. No ketchup. Tomatoes make her mouth raw.

I like olives and Canadian bacon on pizza. Briny salty.

I like mustard on corned beef and a little bit in a hot dog, but that's about it for beef products. To me, mustard goes with ham or in a sauce for pork.

I never have steak sauce at home and never put it on an actual steak. But for some types of burgers, steak sauce in lieu of ketchup is great. But it's too rare to find.

And I grew up on Hackney's on Harms. They have coasted in the last 15 years, but that full thick slice of raw onion went perfectly with their burger.

And his thought is stupid. Ketchup or ketchup based/like things are combined with beef all the time. BBQ sauce, pizza burger, meatloaf, steaksauce. It's tangy, sweet, and adds another layer of salt. Overpoweing is mustard.

Mustard sucks. So does mayo.

I would rather have a half eaten sandwich from a Covid patient than either of those on my burger.

This might be the best thought you've ever shared on the board.
Completely agree.

Per that article, don't White Castle burgers come with just onion, pickle and mustard on the side? That's how I remember them.

I have told my wife, I could eat hamburgers three meals a day for years, and not complain. There are so many delicious combos, many mentioned here. In, fact, there's leftover in the fridge from Sunday night, I think it's going in my belly right now! How about american, Miracle Whip and Heinz 57?

I went to a place a few years back that had a jalapeño burger that grilled a whole jalapeño and threw it on the burger then topped with Swiss, tomato, and lettuce. One of the best burgers I ever had. The jalapeño cooked in its own juice was an absolute perfect topper for a burger.

whenever i order an egg mcmuffin I always ask them to sub regular bacon for the ham. I refuse to call it any sort of bacon.
